Teresa Sanchez

Teresa Sanchez passed away on March 5, 2022 in Glendale, California at the age of 94. "Tere", as she was known to family and friends was born on October 28, 1927 in Mexico and later attended an all girls Catholic School in Ayutla Jalisco, Mexico. She married the love of her life, Jesus on November 16, 1949 and together they welcomed 5 children before moving to California in 1959 where they would welcome 6 more. Teresa proudly filled the role as "best mom ever" and she would even fulfill other roles such as restaurant owner, chef and apartment building owner.

Cooking was a big part of Teresa's life and she also enjoyed knitting, music, traveling, watching her favorite cooking channels or CNN in Spanish and there was never a bargain she didn't like. Nothing made her happier than spending time with her family. Teresa cherished her grandchildren and great grandchildren and would frequently cook or bbq for the large family events. Her desire to serve stemmed from her devout faith. She attended Holy Family Catholic Church and would pray the Rosary often giving thanks for her many blessings.

Teresa is survived by her 11 children, Manuel, Sara, Lucy, Rosie, Ray, Edgar, Alfonso, Lourdes, Armando, Angie and Silvia; 14 grandchildren, Terry, Carlos, Alex, Danny, Laura, Ray, Andrew, Markie, Matthew, Jacob, Justin, Gabriel, Danian and Angela; 12 great grandchildren, Gero, Sean, Travis, Oliver, Skyler, Daniela, Victoria, Landon, Jackson, Makaio, Thorin, Alamoana and many other family members and countless friends.
