Muriel Feron Tyner

Muriel Feron Tyner passed away peacefully on January 10, 2022 at PIH Hospice House, after a 3 week battle with pneumonia, Muriel was born on February 13, 1927 in Mineola, New York. She married her high school sweetheart Gene Tyner. They moved to California and settled in Whittier where they raised their 4 kids. Muriel worked at the Bank of America in Whittier until she was 78, and then did volunteer work at Whittier Area Community Church and Laurel Elementary School until she was 90.

Muriel was predeceased by her beloved Gene (2003). She leaves behind her 4 adoring children Liz (Jack) Wong, Becky (Mike) Weyant, Tom (Wendy) Tyner, and Dave (Kathy) Tyner as well as 9 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren (plus 1 on the way), and 1 great great grandson.

Muriel was a kind, sweet woman with a lovely sense of humor. She lived by one of her favorite old sayings: "If you can't say anything nice about a person, don't say anything at all." In her honor go out today and offer a smile or a word of encouragement to anyone you meet who looks like they could use one or the other.

A Private family memorial will be held at a later date.
