David Erickson

David "Dave" Richard Erickson passed away on August 31, 2021 in Anaheim, California at the age of 61. He was born to David and Luanne Erickson in Aurora, Illinois and spent most of his early life growing up in the town of Yorkville, Illinois. Dave served his country by joining the United States Marine Corps and was later honorably discharged at the rank of Corporal. David would later go on to serve the community by being a diesel mechanic at Estes Express Lines in La Mirada, California while living in Anaheim, California. He loved challenging himself with different aspects of mechanics and taking pride in problem solving. It is this pride that many times made him the go-to friend who was willing to help you work on your car and get you back out on the road! Playfully, David always had big dreams of striking it rich by constantly investing in lotto scratchers! This dream never came to fruition unfortunately but he still loved blessing others and most especially spoiling his grandchildren. He was one of a kind and will be greatly missed. David is survived by his daughter, Shelly Loewen; grandchildren, Colton Schmidt (11), Rhett Schmidt (9), Meredith Loewen (9 mos); siblings, Shawn, Jim, Chad, Shelly; parents, David, Luanne and many friends.
