Jose 'Papi Chuy' Jimenez Lopez

Jose Lopez Jimenez was born March 28th, 1946 to Cleofas Lopez and Socorro Jimenez in Jalisco, Mexico. Jose was married to Teresa Lopez in Mexicali, Baja California on December 17th, 1971.
In 1974 they would move to the United States.
Jose and Teresa had five children, who would eventually give them five grandchildren. Jose, lovingly nicknamed 'Papi Chuy', came from a long line of mariachis. He proudly worked as one for over 60 years.
Papi Chuy lived with his family in Whittier, California where he spent much of his time playing with his grandchildren. He loved to accompany them at their baseball games and practices.

Jose is survived by his wife of 50 years, Teresa, and their five children; Jose, Francisco, Cecilia, Maria, and Marcial, as well as his five grandchildren; Louie, Madison, Olivia, Mathias, and Diego. Services for Jose will be held at White Emerson Mortuary on August 3rd, 2021 at 9 am. Interment at Olive Lawn will follow the service.
