Anthony Yniguez

Anthony was born June 18, 1964 in Downey, California to Arnold and Diana Yniquez. He passed away on June 17, 2011 in Whittier, California.Anthony grew up and attended schools in Whittier, California, and graduated from Pioneer High School. He was involved in Pop Warner football as a youngster and while in high school was a member of the auto mechanic's club.Arthur loved to play pool and was known as a 'pool shark' to many. He was a sports enthusiast and knowedable about all the major sporting teams. The Lakers were his favorite basketball team. Cooking and riding his bike were also among Anthony's favorite things to do. He also enjoyed ocean and fresh water fishing.His occupations included being a butcher, sheet metal processor and working for a glass company.His family will greatly miss him and love him with all their heart. His mother states that Anthony 'was a saint'.He is survived by his mother, Diana; step father, Felix; brothers, Arnold, Michael and Gregory.A memorial mass will be celebrated on Friday, June 24, 2011, at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, 7215 S. Newline Ave. Whittier, California, at 11:15 a.m.Burial will take place at Resurrection Cemetery in Montebello, California, following the service.
