Enrique Abelardo Lopez

Rev. Enrique 'Lalo' Abelardo Lopez, C.Ss.R. was born on December 24, 1936 in Corona, California to parents Hilarion and Guadalupe Lopez. He grew up attending St. Edwards in Corona. Enrique attended Holy Redeemer College in Oakland, California going on to novitiate in DeSoto, Missouri. He then went on to Immaculate Conception Seminary in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. Enrique was a proud priest of the Catholic Church, where he devoted his life to the Redemptorist Order. At one point he served as the pastor at Saint Mary of the Assumption Church in Whittier, California. He was also an avid fan of the Los Angeles Dodgers.Rev. Enrique Lopez passed away on January 31, 2011 in Chino, California. He is survived by Jaime Lopez, Cruz Lopez, Xavier Lopez, Lupe Gaines, and Cici Lopez.
