Joe Herrera

Joe Herrera was born on May 31, 1931 to parents Juan Herrera and Lucy Apodaca in Albuquerque, New Mexico. They later moved to Los Angeles, California where Joe attended school. On August 9, 1949 he enlisted I the United States Army. He served as a sergeant during the Korean War and was honorably discharged on December 11, 1952.On April 24, 1954 Joe married Eloisa Martha Navarro at Presentation Catholic Church in Los Angeles, California. They lived in Pico Rivera, California for 56 years where they raise their daughters Lucy, Linda, and Merle. Joe worked for 30 years as a messenger for Sears Repair Parts Distribution Center. He enjoyed hunting every October and golfing every weekend.Mr. Joe Herrera passed away on October 31, 2010 in Whittier, California, He is survived by his wife Eloisa, daughters Lucy Fleming, Linda Panerio, and Merle Guinn, his three sisters, and four grandchildren.
