Shirley Jean Carmichael was born March 9, 1923 in Bend, Oregon and passed away July 15, 2010 in Fullerton, California.Shirley was born to parents Glenn Clay McCracken and Mary Ann Scott McCracken. She grew up in Montebello, Ca where she graduated from Montebello High School. On October 7, 1949 in Montebello, Shirley married her husband of over 60 years, Jack Carmichael. Over the years, Shirley lived in Montebello, Whittier and La Habra. In addition to her primary vocation as a homemaker, Shirley loved cooking, writing and crafts. She was also an avid Lakers and Dodgers fan. She loved spending time with her family but mostly she was committed to making sure people knew Jesus as their Personal Savior. Shirley has been a member of Whittier Hills Baptist Church for many years.She is survived by her husband Jack Carmichael, Daughters; Judy Robinson, Terri Carmichael and Karen Fessenden, Son; Scott Carmichael, Sons-in-Law; Clark Robinson and Mark Fessenden, Daughter-in-Law; Tana Carmichael. 9 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren. Brother; Larry McCracken and Sister; Patty Ladd.Memorial Services will be held Thursday, July 22, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Whittier Hills Baptist Church
