Yolanda Peru

Our beautiful mother and grandmother Yolanda “Yolie” Peru passed away on February 5th, 2024 peacefully at our home in Whittier surrounded by her family, just as she wished. She was born is East Los Angeles in 1955 to Amado and Tina Peru, who eventually moved to Pico Rivera where she was raised with her 5 other siblings. She had two sons Robbie and Kenny, who she raised on her own, and provided a good life for with her union job. 

Our mom was tough and fought hard but in the end, her little body was tired and it was time to rest. Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ promises us there is eternal life in heaven, for those who believe in him, and we take comfort in that promise and we know our grandparents welcomed Mom home with open loving arms. 

Our Mom is survived by her husband Julian Avina, her two sons Robbie and Kenny, her seven step children, nineteen grandchildren and one great grandson, her sister Marcie, and her two brothers Mondie and Ernie. We will forever love you Mom, to the moon and back.
