Celebrating the Life of Victor Cervantes Jr.

It is with both heavy hearts and joyous memories that we announce the passing of Victor Cervantes Jr., who left us peacefully on September 9, 2025. Born on May 29, 1941, in Los Angeles, California, Victor lived a vibrant and fulfilling life. He brought love and laughter to everyone around him and will be deeply missed. Victor's journey began in the lively neighborhoods of South Los Angeles, where he attended Manual Arts High School. It was there that Victor's passionate spirit came to life, especially when he met the love of his life, Esperanza, while dancing at the Hollywood Palladium. Their love story blossomed amidst the rhythms of Salsa and Rock 'n' Roll, which defined many of his cherished moments. A dedicated truck driver, Victor spent many years delivering goods for Ralphs Food 4 Less, and his knowledge of the best local eateries (especially his favorite, Chinese cuisine!) made him a beloved figure at work and in the community. His adventurous taste extended to the movies as well; he was a big fan of military films and martial arts flicks, always rooting for heroes like Clint Eastwood, Chuck Norris, and Bruce Lee. Victor is survived by his loving daughter, Anna Jewett, and son, Misael Cervantes, who carry forward his legacy. As we grieve, we also celebrate a life well-lived life filled with love, laughter, and a deep appreciation for family and friends. To honor Victor's memory, we invite you to join us for a Rosary on October 2, 2025, at 6:00 PM, followed by a Public Viewing at White Emerson Mortuary from 5 – 8p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at St. Pius X Catholic Church on October 3, 2025, at 10:00 AM, culminating with a Graveside Service at Resurrection Cemetery at 11:45 AM.
