On June 16, 1962, he married the love of his life, Carolyn Theisen, in Huntington Park, beginning a journey together that would last over six decades. Their partnership was a testament to love, resilience, and family values.

Thomas was a man of many passions. He devoted his heart to the Nebraska Cornhuskers, cheering them on with fervor. Beyond sports, he found solace in fishing, explored the beauty of the Sierras, tended to his garden, and most importantly, cherished the time spent with his family. He leaves behind his son Andrew, daughter Tracee Theisen-Henny, ten grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren, all of whom carry forward his legacy of love and laughter.
