In Loving Memory of Theodore Rantzow

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Theodore Rantzow, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and proud firefighter, who passed away on October 3, 2025, at the age of 88.

For 30 years, Theodore served with dedication and courage as a member of the Monterey Park Fire Department, faithfully protecting his community and exemplifying bravery, compassion, and selflessness in every call to duty.

At home, he was the heart of his family — steady, loving, and kind. He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Mary Rantzow; his children Robert, Carleen, and Ryan; his grandchildren; and his great-grandson. His warmth, strength, and generosity will forever remain in the hearts of his family, his firehouse family, his friends, and all those whose lives he touched.

A service honoring his remarkable and colorful life will be held at White Emerson Mortuary, 13304 Philadelphia St, Whittier, CA 90601, on October 25, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. A lunch reception will follow.
