Sylvia Sally Vidal, a beloved home maker, passed away on August 4, 2023, in La Habra at the age of 94. Born on January 4, 1929, in Jamestown, NY, Sylvia's warm and caring nature graced her family and friends for nearly a century.
After graduating from Compton High School, Sylvia dedicated her life to creating a loving and nurturing home environment. For an incredible 77 years, she poured her heart into making her house a place where memories were forged and love was abundant. Her dedication to her family knew no bounds, as she selflessly put their needs above her own.
Sylvia was a pillar of strength and wisdom for those closest to her. She shared a beautiful journey of love and companionship with her husband, Victor John Vidal. Their partnership was one filled with unwavering support and devotion that set an example for generations to come.
Her legacy lives on through her surviving family members whom she cherished deeply. Charles Victor Vidal, Sunita, Timothy John Vidal, Dawn, Joseph Vidal, Courtney, Dena Anderson, Christopher, Eric Vidal, Chanel, Angela Chandra, Sarah Vidal, Matthew, Mia Vidal, Uriah Anderson, Sophia Vidal, Noah Vidal, Ella Vidal, Emilia Rose Lopez, Norma (caregiver), and Buhmi (caregiver) will forever carry Sylvia's memory in their hearts and strive to live according to the values she instilled within them.
Sylvia will be remembered not only for her dedication to family but also for her kind-hearted nature that touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her. She embraced every opportunity to lend a helping hand or offer words of encouragement. Sylvia's radiant smile could brighten even the darkest days and leave an imprint on people's souls. Gathering for meals at Sylvia's home was an important part of her welcoming nature. A Mass in remembrance of Sylvia Sally Vidal will be held on August 21st at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in La Habra, CA. The service will begin at 10:00 AM, providing an opportunity for family and friends to gather and pay their final respects to this remarkable woman. Following the Mass, there will be a Graveside Service at Riverside National Cemetery in March Air Reserve Base, CA, on August 22nd starting at 10:30 AM.
Sylvia's passing has undoubtedly left a void in the lives of all who knew her. Yet it is through sharing stories of her kindness, compassion, and beautiful spirit that we can keep her memory alive. Her legacy remains an inspiration to us all as we strive to emulate the love and selflessness she embodied.
