With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Suzanne Louise Thomas, a beloved daughter, sister, and dedicated caregiver, who left this world peacefully on December 8, 2025, in Whittier, California. She was born on September 23, 1956, in Des Moines, Iowa.

Suzanne was a remarkable individual whose profound dedication to nursing as a Clinical Nurse Specialist left an indelible mark on the lives of countless patients and their families. Her compassionate nature and unwavering commitment to the medical profession exemplified the true essence of care and humanity. With a Master's Degree in her field, she devoted herself to a life of service, becoming a guiding light during the most challenging times for those she served.

In addition to her professional achievements, Suzanne was a passionate lover of reading, photography, and horses, which brought her immense joy and fulfillment. She embraced the beauty of life through her camera lens and the gentle spirit of these majestic animals. As a Christian, Suzanne's faith served as her foundation, providing strength and hope throughout her journey.

She is survived by her sisters, Marion Thomas (Alonzo Villarreal) of Gilbert, Arizona, and Marti Hladky of Omaha, Nebraska. Suzanne was predeceased by her parents, Harold Thomas and Patricia Belding of Des Moines, Iowa, and her brother-in-law, Jim Hladky of Omaha, Nebraska.

A memorial service will be held at White Emerson Mortuary on December 23rd, 2025, at 11:00 AM. Family and friends are invited to join in the celebration of Suzanne's life, reflecting on the many cherished moments of that life.

Suzanne will forever remain in our hearts, cherished by all who knew her, and remembered for the love she gave so freely. She is now dancing in the streets of Heaven.

The family has requested that any memorial contributions be made to the San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance, a cause near and dear to Suzanne's heart.
