Susan Ann LaFontise

Susan Ann LaFontise was born January 27, 1947, in Maywood, California, to Melvin Loy and Marion Blanche (Allen) Magers. She passed away on December 12, 2018, in Whittier, California, at the age of 71.

Susan grew up and went to school in Los Angeles County, California, graduating from El Rancho High School in Pico Rivera. As an adult she settled in Whittier, California, where she raised her three children, Amy, Dennis, and Jenniffer.

Professionally, Susan was worked in the Accounts Payable department for Tuftex Carpet Mills, later a acquired by Shaw Floors. However, family always came first for her. Susan was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother and she more than anything else she preferred spending time with her children and grandchildren. Reading, spending time in the mountains or at the beach, and watching Americas Funniest Home Videos were among her favorite pastimes.

Susan is survived by her children, Dennis LaFontise and Jenniffer (Oscar) Guzman; 9 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Amy.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2018, at White Emerson Mortuary, 13304 Philadelphia St., Whittier, California.
