Sondra Kay Verdugo (Sandi )

Born in Mansfield, Ohio on February 21, 1940, to Emma Jane and Joseph Mitchell Podbielski

Passed into the arms of our Lord on Sunday May 12, 2024

Sandi traveled to many places in her life with her mother and father. Her father was in the Navy and served over 30 years as a Meteorologist. Once she met her husband of 63 years, George F. Verdugo, she found a long-time home in the city La Mirada, where they have lived for the past 58 years.

Raising 2 children, Michelle, and Lance, she was active in their schools and PTA. She worked as an Educational Instructional Aide for many years within the La Mirada/ Norwalk school district.

She loved to cook, and her home was her pride. She was a wonderful friend and neighbor.

Her family will feel her absence for the rest of their lives. They pray she is at peace and in the Kingdom of Heaven.

Survived by her husband George, her daughter Michelle, her son Lance, Grandsons Garrett, Keegan and Justin, her Granddaughters Jillian and Lindsey, Great grandson Bryson, and her daughter-in-law Kristi.
