Robert Varela

Robert "Bob" Varela was born on February 17, 1955 in Los Angeles, CA. He was the first child of Robert and Jeanette Varela and grew up in Pico Rivera, graduating from St. Don Bosco Tech. After attending college Bob worked for his family's business, Tape and Label Converters, where he stayed employed until his death on May 4, 2021.

Bob was formerly married to Cecelia Varela and he raised her son like his own. They went on to have two children together. The children's lives were surrounded around Judo. Bob spent his family time chauffeuring the kids to practices and tournaments and always being their number one supporter.

Bob was very generous with his time volunteering over 20 years announcing at Judo tournaments and ushering at St Mary's Saturday evening mass.

It was a great joy at the end of Bob's life to spend time with his newest grandchild, Jackery, every Sunday.

Bob is survived by his Son's, Robert and Steven, Daughter Stefanie; Former Spouse, Cecilia; Parents Robert and Jeanette; Siblings, Randy, Roger and Jackie; And his loving grandchildren.
