Robert Johnston Jr., better known to many as "Bob", was born on January 07, 1930 to Mary and Robert Johnston in Kansas City, Missouri. He was also welcomed by his 13 year old brother, Bill.

His death came 91 years later on December 18, 2021 in the city of La Mirada, CA. where he spent most of his adult life.

Bob attended Wyandotte High School in Kansas City, Kansas.

He served in the US Army during the Korean War and was a Sergeant when discharged in 1953.

He had a keen eye for details, was creative and artistic. He found lithography and the printing industry to be the trade where he could put his gifts to work, eventually retiring after a long career.

He was a role model to all who loved him. He was kind, caring, quiet-spoken yet wise, hardworking, generous, fun loving, adventurous (traveling cross country in a RV with Betty and their three daughters), a handyman, loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and uncle and connected with his family until the end.

He converted to Catholicism, helped to form the Bereavement Ministry at Beatitudes of Our Lord and was a Eucharistic Minister. He was a Meals on Wheels volunteer for over 20 years.

Private service to be held at Olive Lawn Memorial Park on January 21, 2022.
