Phyllis Ann Routledge, born on April 5, 1933, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, passed away on September 4, 2025, in Placentia, California. She was 92 years old. Phyllis will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, and a cherished member of her community.

Phyllis graduated high school and spent most of her career in the health care industry, helping cancer survivors, where her compassion and dedication shone through. Her legacy is one of warmth and kindness, evident in the laughter and joy she brought to everyone around her.

Phyllis had a deep passion for gardening, particularly her collection of roses, which she nurtured with great care. Her home was often filled with the delightful aroma of freshly baked bread and cookies, as she loved to bake for her family and friends. An avid entertainer, she welcomed guests into her home, creating lasting memories around the dining table.

Phyllis’s devotion to her church and community played a significant role in her life. For many years, she took pride in organizing luncheons for her large Bible Study Group at their church, working alongside her husband, Bill, as a dedicated team. Additionally, Phyllis volunteered at the La Mirada Theatre for many years, sharing her love for the arts with others. She also had a keen eye for design and enjoyed remodeling and decorating her home, ensuring it reflected her vibrant spirit.

Phyllis is survived by her daughters, Andrea Takacs and Karen Garcia, and her son, Michael Garcia. She is also survived by her husband, William Routledge, and his sons: Robert Routledge, James Routledge, Steven Routledge, and David Routledge, as well as grandchildren and great grandchildren. Phyllis leaves behind a legacy of love, joy, and a deep commitment to her family and community.
