Norman W. Edwards

Norman Wesley Edwards, beloved son, brother, husband, father and grandfather, uncle and friend, of Rancho Cucamonga, California died suddenly on June 13, 2019. Norman was born on May 27, 1960 in Los Angeles, California to Jerry Ross Edwards of Tahoka, Texas and Creswell, Oregon and Armida Barbara Edwards of Whittier, California and Creswell, Oregon.

Norman is survived by his parents, his children, son Scott Edwards (Tristen) and daughter Brittney Edwards, grandson Charlie Edwards, his wife Angela Pebbles Edwards, his siblings Barbara Burik (Larry), Michael Edwards (Alicia) and Grace Stanton (John), and numerous nieces and nephews.

Norman was a spirited competitor and athlete. He excelled in basketball and track & field, lettering in ten sports and named scholar/athlete at California High School. He played basketball at the University of the Pacific with a full athletic scholarship, helping the team win their conference and reach the NCAA Basketball Tournament.

Norman graduated with a degree in Business and entered the field of automotive sales and dealership management in Seaside, California. He excelled in this field, mentoring others and later working in Springfield and Cottage Grove, Oregon and finally at Mark Christopher Auto Center in Ontario, California.

Norman cherished his time with family and friends, relished meeting new people, collected sports memorabilia, and enjoyed new experiences, including zip lining , glacier climbing, hiking Machu Picchu, bicycling Marthas Vineyard, scuba diving in Hawaii, and swimming in the often frigid High Sierra lakes. He bounded through life, traveling around the globe.

Norman will always be remembered for his ever-present and dazzling smile, the twinkle in his eye, and his optimistic zest for life. He will be missed.
