Mary Taylor passed just before 8:00 am on Sunday, Februay 25th, 2024 at 92 years of age. Though her earthy presence was vacated, her calm and peaceful passing was surrounded by her children, Terri, Fred and Mina. We are grateful to have honored our familial commitment in allowing her to pass at home amongst familiar surroundings and people, just as she wanted. This would not have been possible without the truly loving sacrifice from Terri, who for the last 5 years, faithfully served our mom and allowed her to maintain independence and mobility, as her body began to decline. And more recently, help from Mina, doing double time between Mary and her parents. Both of them truly displayed honor to their mother's by adoption and marriage in a wonderful way, without complaint or regret. Those who knew our mom saw her specific love and appreciation for all things beautiful. She expressed this display of love in the attentive care for her English garden and fine knitting skills. She was a generous woman, and through her adult life found joy in sharing what she had been given with other’s. What some might call, 'stubborness,' others called, 'healthy boundries.' Regardless of your perspective, this was certainly a defining characteristic of our mom. She maintained specific opinions on things, even leading into the months before her passing- Making it abundandtly that she did not want a memorial service. Some of this probably came from her desire to not be 'fussed' over and wanting to refrain from drawing unwanted attention to herself. So in honoring our mother’s request there is not going to be a formal memorial at this time. From our family, we wish to thank everyone for the outpourings of love and care shown to our mom over her 92 years of life.
