Marjorie G. Rus was born November 25, 1915 in Genoa, Nebraska to Charles Bernard and Fannie Belle (Martin) Emery. She passed away Friday, January 28, 2011 in Whittier, California. Marjorie was raised in Silver Creek, Nebraska and graduated from Silver Creek High School. She married Roy Wisely on July 19, 1935 in Aurora, Nebraska. She gave birth to three children, Ronald, Jane and Sharon. They all survive her, as do 14 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and 19 great-great-grandchildren.Mrs. Rus later married Marinus Rus on November 2, 1959 in Las Vegas, Nevada. They made their home in Bellflower, California and spent their summers in Iowa. They sold their home in 1979 and purchased a home in Sioux Center, Iowa. They then vacationed in California and Arizona in the winter, living in Iowa during the summer.Traveling was a big part of Marjorie's life. She and Mr. Rus spent 42 years traveling around in a motor home, towing a boat or pickup. They simply stopped where they found good weather.Mrs. Rus moved to Whittier, California in 2002 where she lived until the time of her death.Viewing will begin at 5pm on Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at White Emerson Mortuary, 13304 Philadelphia St., Whittier, California. A service will follow at 7pm also at White Emerson. A second service will be held in Sioux Center, Iowa at 1 pm on Monday, February 7, 2011 at Memorial Funeral Home.
