It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Marie Dolores Medina (Mama Marie), who departed this world on November 24, 2025, at the age of 74. Born on April 8, 1951, in Los Angeles, CA, Marie lived a life rich in love, family, and unwavering devotion, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her. Marie was the beloved wife of Alex Medina, with whom she shared a lifetime of cherished moments, laughter, and an enduring partnership. Together, they built a home filled with warmth, hospitality, and unconditional love, a sanctuary for their family and friends. As a devoted mother to Melissa and Johnny Medina, Marie poured her heart and soul into nurturing and guiding her children. She was their fiercest advocate, their best friend, and their greatest cheerleader. Her wisdom, resilience, and affection shaped them into the individuals they are today. Her grandchildren, Javier & Reggie, were the light of her life, and she embraced every opportunity to create joyful memories with them, showering them with love and affection. Marie was a cherished sister to Margaret, David, Cindy, and Lupe, sharing a bond of camaraderie, support, and shared history. Her presence brought comfort and joy to her siblings' lives. She was also a beloved aunt to several Nieces and Nephews who adored her gentle spirit and playful nature. To her wide circle of friends, Marie was a loyal and steadfast companion. Her infectious laugh, empathetic ear, and generous spirit made her a cherished confidante. She had an extraordinary ability to make everyone feel seen, valued, and loved. Beyond her roles within her family and friendships, Marie found joy in trips to the beach with her family, family gatherings, and trips to the Colorado river, where she made countless memories with all her family. She approached life with an open heart and a radiant spirit, always finding beauty in the simple moments. Marie's legacy is one of profound love, unwavering kindness, and endless generosity. She taught us the importance of family, the power of compassion, and the beauty of a life lived with grace. While our hearts ache with her absence, we find solace in the countless memories we shared and the enduring love she instilled in each of us. Her spirit will forever continue to illuminate our lives. Marie is survived by her beloved children, Melissa and Johnny, her cherished grandchildren, Javier and Reggie, her dear siblings, her brother David, sisters Cindy and Lupe, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and devoted friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Alex Victor Medina, her baby daughter Lisa Marie Medina, her parents, George and Lupe Mejia, and her sister, Margaret Madrid. A memorial service to celebrate Marie's extraordinary life will be held at White Emerson Mortuary on December 19th at 11:00 AM. May Marie rest in eternal peace, her memory forever a blessing.
