Magdalena 'Maggie' Morales, 84, passed away of natural causes on Friday July 29,2011 at her home in La Habra. She is survived by her brother Frank Gonzalez of Chicago, IL, her sister Dorothy Davila of San Antonio Texas, children Joe Morales Jr., Lupe Hernandez, Elias Morales, Alice Saragosa and Louis Morales along with eighteen grandchildren and twenty five great grandchildren. Maggie was born July 22, 1927 in Taft, Texas. She later lived in San Antonio, Texas. In her teen years in Texas, she was a dancer in the Carpa Cubana Variety Show and the Zaragoza Theater in San Antonio. She married Joe Morales in 1942. In 1964 she moved to Southern California where she spent the rest of her life. Maggie worked for the Mission Rubber Company for over 25 years until retirement and then worked as a hostess at Senor Campos Restaurant in La Habra. Maggie enjoyed gardening, golf, bowling and spending time at year round family get-togethers. Maggie was the matriarch of a large, yet tight-knit family. She was a loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be greatly missed by her entire family.A visitation will be held from 6:00PM-8:00PM, Thursday, August 4, 2011 at White Emerson Mortuary, 13304 E. Philadelphia St., Whittier, CA. A funeral mass willl be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church Friday, August 5, 2011 at 11:00AMBurial will follow at Holy Sepulcher Catholic Cemetery, Orange, CA.
