Luis “Luichi” Vieyra passed away on September 23, 2023 in La Mirada, California, at the age of 84. He was born on June 21, 1939 in CMDX, Mexico.
Luis migrated to the United States at a young age. After settling in Los Angeles, California in the 1960s, he asked his beloved wife, Bertha, to join him along with his first born. They started their lives together and welcomed three other children. He later moved his family to Whittier, California where he was a long time resident and known by the community. Luis started off supporting his family by being the head Baker in a Swedish Bakery in North Hollywood. He then became lead furniture upholstery cutter in Los Angeles for many years and retired in 1996.
Luis loved to dance, go to the swap meet, play dominoes, listen to good music, and above all he loved spending time with his family and friends. Luis was also very talented. He restored antique toys, furniture and loved to restore automobiles. Luis owned and restored a wide variety of cars, from a Chevy 40 to a Ford Model T. Luis was an icon and truly knew the meaning of living his life to the fullest. He has left a positive impact on his family and his community for his love of life. Luis is survived by his four children, Haydee, Alex, Elisa, Louie, and 15 grandchildren, Erica, Nicole , Vince , Julian, Jasmin , Julia, Sonia, Alex, Myah, Jaeli, Sophia, Nola, Matthew, Marissa, Nathan, and 1 great-grandchild, Michael Jr.
Luis will be greatly missed.
