Lois Irene Freer

September 6, 1946 — November 5, 2023

Lois Irene Freer, affectionately known as Lorene, passed away on November 5, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love and dedication. Born on September 6, 1946, in Manteca, California, Lorene lived a life filled with compassion and joy.

In her career, Lorene opened up a daycare in her home, nurturing and caring for countless children throughout the years. Her warm and inviting nature created an environment where children could thrive and develop under her guidance. Lorene's devotion to providing a safe and loving space for these young ones will always be remembered.

Lorene's passion for education was evident throughout her life. In high school, she discovered a fondness for archery and even became the state champion. Later on, as a mother to two daughters, Allison and Caroline, Lorene pursued higher education by returning to college to obtain her AA degree. Her determination to continuously learn and grow served as an inspiration to those around her.

An important aspect of Lorene's life was her involvement in the community and her deep faith in God. She was an active member of her local church, where she took pride in teaching young girls about missions. In addition to this, she initiated ministries for seniors and hosted Bible studies in her home during the last few years of her life. Lorene's dedication to serving others exemplified her kindhearted spirit and unwavering devotion to living out her Christian values.

Outside of her professional and community contributions, Lorene had a zest for life that was infectious. She loved exploring new places, embarking on exciting adventures, and relished in hosting delightful tea parties at her house. Theater shows held a special place in her heart, as she cherished the art of storytelling through performances on stage. Above all else, one of Lorene's greatest joys came from watching her beloved grandson Benjamin perform in the marching band - a proud and beaming grandmother in the stands.

Lorene's husband, Ed Freer, provided unwavering love and support throughout their journey together. Her daughters, Allison and Caroline, were a source of immense pride and joy. As a caring mother-in-law, Lorene shared a special bond with Ken Roberts, her son-in-law. And Benjamin, her grandson, held an extra special place in her heart.

To honor and remember Lorene's life, memorial services will be held as follows:
- Visitation: November 29, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 at White Emerson Mortuary located at 13304 Philadelphia St, Whittier, CA 90601.
- Funeral Service: November 30, 2023, starting at 10:00 AM at New Hope Community Church situated at 3041 Peck Rd, El Monte, CA 91731.
- Graveside Service: Following the funeral service on November 30, 2023, at approximately noon at Rose Hills located at 3888 Workman Mill Rd, Whittier, CA 90601.

Lorene's proudest accomplishment was the impact she made within her church community. From teaching young girls about missions to initiating ministries for seniors and hosting Bible studies later in life – her dedication and love touched the lives of many.

Lois Irene Freer's memory will forever be treasured by those who were fortunate enough to know her. Her kind and nurturing spirit will continue to inspire acts of compassion and love for generations to come. As we say farewell to our beloved Lorene in this earthly realm, may we find solace in knowing that she has found eternal peace in the embrace of her Creator.
