Liliana Salazar Obituary ( English)

It is with profound sorrow and deep love that we announce the passing of Liliana Salazar, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, who entered into the presence of our Lord on September 14, 2025, at the age of 63.

Liliana was born on January 13, 1962, in Cali, Colombia, and throughout her life she embodied nobility, generosity, and a selfless spirit of service. She dedicated her life to her family, always putting their needs before her own, and found her greatest joy in making those she loved feel cared for and cherished.

She had a radiant spirit, a joyful heart, and a love for dancing that filled every room with life and laughter. Whether in moments of celebration or in simple everyday gatherings, Liliana’s energy and grace reminded everyone around her of the beauty of living fully and loving deeply. Above all, her family was her pride and her purpose, and she poured her heart into nurturing them with unwavering devotion.

Liliana is survived by her beloved husband, Jairo Salazar; their three treasured children, Jairo Andres Salazar, Diego Fernando Salazar, and Liliana Andrea Dussan; and her three adored grandchildren, Benjamin Andres Salazar, Emma Rose Dussan, and Simon H. Salazar. She was the heart of her family, a constant source of strength, wisdom, and unconditional love.

She now rejoices in eternal peace, reunited with her parents, Hernando Sanchez Jimenez and Margarita Lopez Vasquez, and her sister Olivia Sanchez Lopez, who preceded her in death. We take comfort in knowing she is embraced by God’s eternal love, free from pain, and dancing once more in paradise.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 22, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at White Emerson Mortuary in Whittier, California. A celebration of her life will follow, where family and friends will gather to honor her memory, share stories, and rejoice in the gift of her life.

Liliana’s legacy of love, faith, and generosity will forever live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. Her memory will continue to guide and inspire us, as we await the day we are reunited with her in God’s presence.

“Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die.’” — John 11:25–26
