Leroy Dennis Martinez

A beloved Father, Brother, Uncle and Grandfather, Leroy Dennis Martinez was born in Denver Colorado on April 20^th 1941 to Parents Emiliana (Emily) Maestas and Savino (Sam) Martinez.

Raised in East Los Angeles and Whitter, Leroy attended Whittier High School graduating in 1959 where he met Irene Meza. They were married in early 1963 and soon had a daughter Lisa Marie in December of 1963 and a year and a half later son Leroy David was born in July of 1965. Four years later in July of 1969 daughter Amanda Anne was born. His grandchildren include Danny and Donika Maattala, Lily and Noah Robles and Alyssa Martinez

Leroy was an artisan working as a furniture upholsterer most of his life. He loved Jazz Music, painting, making furniture working on his many cars, reading historical books especially on the genealogy of his family’s roots from Spain to New Mexico in the 1600’s

Leroy raised his family in Whittier California until 1996 when Leroy and Irene moved to Corona California They continued to enjoy traveling and spending time with their family hosting Sunday breakfast with the kids and grandkids which was always special.
