Johnny Dale Davies also known as "Pastor John Davies" passed away on January 30, 2022 in Pasadena, California at the age of 75. He was born on August 23, 1946 in Troy, Kansas. He lived there until he was 5 years old. At which time he and his family moved to Burbank, California. Where he went to grade school. They then moved to Pico Rivera, where he completed junior High. He attended high school at El Monte High.
At the age of 18 he became a full time roofer, which was his life long occupation. He believed in honest hard work. On April 14, 1971, in Norwalk, California he married the love of his life Gloria Mae Arp. They bought a home and raise their children in the City of El Monte. They built a beautiful life together. He became a Pastor for Praise Chapel Christian Fellowship in 1990 and carried out that title till the end. He truly believed " there is no person that God can't save". John also served as a chaplain for the El Monte Police Department for fourteen and a half years. He had the heart of a servant.
John's hobbies and interests were fishing, camping, road trips, riding motorcycles, wood carving, going to the race track and building classic cars. Spending time with family and church family was his main priority.
John is survived by his wife of 50 years, Gloria Davies; Children; Teresa Simiski, Shiloh Davies, and Rachel Sandoval; Grandchildren; Aaron Simiski, Jesse Simiski, Kashmir Davies, Justin Davies, Luke Sandoval, and Dean Sandoval.
There will be a graveside service held on February 22,2022, at 3 p.m. at Rose Hills memorial Park.
