He passed away on January 17, 2012, in Whittier, California at the age of 84.He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary Catherine Ruane, and daughter, Kathleen Hitt and son Tom Ruane, along with 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.A Christian Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2012, 10:30 am at St. Bruno's Catholic Church, 15740 Citrustree Road, Whittier, California, 90603, 562-947-5637.Created remains will be taken to Ireland for interment.
