James Carl Brown, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2023, in Whittier, Los Angeles. He was born on June 4, 1950, in Culver City, Los Angeles.
After graduating from Los Altos High School, James embarked on a noteworthy military career. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. His courage and resilience in combat earned him both the Good Conduct Medal and the prestigious Combat Infantryman Badge. James's commitment to serving his country was awe-inspiring and he will forever be honored for his bravery.
Apart from his military service, James had a passion for building model airplanes. And spending time with family and grandchildren. In addition to his dedicated military service and beloved hobbies, James leaves behind an enduring legacy of love within his surviving family. His wife Judy Ann Brown whom they married in 1975 at Peace Lutheran Church in Pico Rivera, CA. Their 2 children Adam Brown (Joelle Hensley), and Ashley Potthoff (Timothy Potthoff) and 5 beautiful grandchildren; Kaiden, Peytan, Presley, Ryan and Noah.
In loving memory of James Carl Brown, a Graveside Service will be held on October 27, 2023, at Riverside National Cemetery located at 22495 Van Buren Boulevard in March Air Reserve Base, CA. The service will start at 10:30 AM.
Rest in peace, James Carl Brown. You will be deeply missed, but your spirit will live on in our hearts forever.
