Gloria V. Uribe, 90, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on June 7, 2026, in Whittier, California.

Born on December 17, 1935, in Los Angeles, California, Gloria was the beloved daughter of Susana and Abundio Vargas and the eleventh of twelve children. She was raised in Simons, in Montebello, California, where her father worked in the brickyard. After living in Simons, she and her family moved to 2963 Via San Carlo, Montebello, California, and later resided in Whittier, California. Gloria lived a life centered on faith, family, love, and quiet strength. A devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great- grandmother, and proud matriarch of five generations, Gloria found her greatest joy in her family and took deep pride in the legacy of love that continues through each generation.

Gloria attended St. Benedict School, where she was a member of its first graduating class in 1949. She also attended Sacred Heart of Mary in Montebello and Montebello High School. Her early years helped shape the caring, steady, and devoted woman her family came to know and love.

She worked as a teacher's assistant, a role that reflected her patience, kindness, and generous spirit. Gloria loved reading and was a devoted fan of the Los Angeles Dodgers and the UCLA Bruins. She found happiness in life's simple pleasures, but above all, she cherished time spent with her family.

Gloria is survived by her children, Susan Landeros, Jean Landeros, and Sean Colman; her grandchildren, Yvette (Bruce) Mendizabal, Ryan Landeros, Alec A. Paez (dec.), Kevin M. Paez, Paige (Melvin) Valdez, Paloma Colman, and Ulysses Colman; her great-grandchildren, Aleceya (Christian) Hernandez, Brianna Mendizabal, Emma Mendizabal, and Luka Valdez; and her great-great-granddaughter, Amelia Hernandez.

Gloria leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, devotion, and family pride. She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever carried in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
