Glenn Russell Britton

September 18, 1947 — February 24, 2024

Whittier, CA

In loving memory of Glenn Russell Britton, a dedicated legal professional and beloved family man, whose presence enriched the lives of those around him. Born in the serene town of Wahiawa, Oahu, Hawaii in 1947, Glenn's journey through life was marked by admirable achievements and cherished moments shared with loved ones. His recent passing on February 24th, 2024, in Whittier, California, has left a void in the hearts of many.

Glenn's passion for the pursuit of justice led him to be admitted to the State Bar of California in 1974. For 27 years, he served as a Deputy District Attorney for the County of Los Angeles, embodying integrity and diligence in his profession. His commitment to upholding the law reflected his unwavering principles and dedication to his community.

Outside of his legal career, Glenn found solace in the arts and music. An avid enthusiast of live theater and concerts, he would often embark on local road trips with his beloved wife, Diane, and their family. His love for literature and music of all genres was evident through his vast book and music collection—a testament to his diverse interests and intellectual curiosity.

Glenn's academic pursuits were commendable. He attended Longfellow Elementary School, Dexter Intermediate School, and graduated from Whittier High School in 1965. He furthered his education by obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Redlands in 1969 before earning his J.D. degree from the USC School of Law.

Among those who preceded Glenn are his parents Beverly Lawrence Britton and Catherine Chase Britton. While we mourn his loss deeply, we are comforted by the enduring impact he had on those who survive him. Diane Britton, his devoted wife; Robert & Corrinne Britton and Michael & Fong Britton, his cherished sons and daughters-in-law; Aubrey, Brielle, Katherine, and Jackson—his adored grandchildren; as well as Judy Sire, his beloved sister—together form a legacy that will continue to honor Glenn's memory through their love and shared experiences.

It is with profound sorrow that we bid farewell to Glenn Russell Britton—a remarkable individual whose kindness touched many lives. May his unwavering spirit live on in the memories we hold dear.

Rest in peace, Glenn Russell Britton.
