Francisco Javier Alvarez

Francisco Javier Alvarez, age 86, passed away peacefully on Monday May 8^th, 2023, surrounded by his loving family in his Rosemead home.

He was born on January 7^th, 1937, to Felipe and Margarita Alvarez in Sahuayo Michoacán, Mexico.

Francisco met his future wife Francisca Iniguez while repairing a motor for her mom, Maria de Jesus Iniguez, at the family business. 

In the mid-60s, Francisco and Francisca moved to Los Angeles California where he would work as an electrician and that was not the only skill he had.  There was nothing that he could not build or repair.  In his late 40’s he opened his own business making tortillas just like his father and mother-in-law did in Mexico.

Francisco is survived by his wife of 59 years, and their children Francisco, Armando, Fernando, Martha, and Maria.

Francisco will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
