Eva DiTommaso

Eva Laverne “Tina” DiTommaso passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2026 in Whittier, California at the age of 97. She was born on August 8, 1929 in East Los Angeles, California and live most of her life in Whittier, California. After graduating from Montebello High School, Tina went on to attend East Los Angeles Junior College and UCLA before finding her path to becoming a teacher. Later in life she went back to school at the University of La Verne to obtain her Master’s Degree in Counseling.

During her time at East Los Angeles Junior College, in the Fall of 1947, she met Andy DiTommaso. The two fell in love and married on June 23, 1951. This began their beautiful life together. Together they welcomed 3 sons,14 grandchildren and 10 great children. Andy passed away on June 1, 2007.

Tina had a passion for teaching and enjoyed spending time with her family. Some of her favorite things to do was cooking Italian food with her husband and baking cookies with grandkids and great grand kids.

Tina is survived by her children: son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Darlene DiTommaso, daughter-in-law, Cindy DiTomasso, son and daughter-in-law, Andrew and Janice DiTommaso; 14 grandchild and 10 great grand children. She was preceded in death by her husband Andy DiTommaso and her son Greg DiTommaso.

A viewing will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 25, 2026 at White Emerson Mortuary. Church services will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the Whittier LDS Stake Center on Mulberry Dr.
