Elizabeth Marin

Elizabeth Licari Marin, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2026. Born on June 23, 1930, in St. Louis, Missouri, Elizabeth moved to California with her parents, Guiseppe and Maria Licari, where she would build a remarkable life defined by hard work, love, and generosity.

In June of 1950, Elizabeth married the love of her life, John Anthony Marin II, beginning a beautiful marriage filled with devotion, laughter, and family. Together, they raised three children — John, Mary, and Joanne — who were her greatest pride and joy.

A dynamic and industrious woman, Elizabeth was a talented entrepreneur and passionate businesswoman. She approached every endeavor with drive and integrity, inspiring those around her with her determination and grace.

Elizabeth was known for her warm heart and boundless generosity. She was a loyal Dodgers fan, an exceptional cook, and a gardener who found joy in nurturing life, both in her family and in her backyard. She also had a deep love for travel. Above all, Elizabeth adored her family and her faithful companion dog, Sydney — lovingly called Syd. Elizabeth’s spirit lives on through her three children, four grandchildren, who lovingly called her “Nonna”— Elizabeth, Christina, Robin, and Joseph — and four great-grandchildren — Alexis, Cayden, Micah, and Judah — who will forever carry her love and legacy in their hearts.

Elizabeth will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, strength, and unwavering love for family. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, resilience, and joy that will continue to touch all who knew her.
