It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mom, Elaine Coyne, who peacefully went home to be with the Lord on October 24, 2026, at the age of 83. She was preceded in death by her husband James Coyne.

Elaine leaves behind her three loving daughters, sons-in-law, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who were the greatest joys of her life. She devoted her heart and soul to her family, creating a beautiful legacy of unconditional love, kindness, and cherished memories that will live on for generations.

Elaine had a true passion for teaching and dedicated 25 wonderful years to educating second-grade students. Her classroom was more than just a place of learning; it was a place where she poured her heart into shaping young minds and making a difference. If she wasn’t at home, you could often find her in her classroom, doing what she loved most.

Even after retiring from teaching, Elaine wasn’t quite ready to slow down. She began a new chapter working part-time at the newly opened Walmart, where she spent another 15 years. She especially loved reconnecting with friends, former students, and their families as they shopped. Her warm smile and familiar face brought joy to so many, and everyone loved seeing “Miss Elaine!”

Outside of her work, Elaine found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. She loved spending time at her favorite beaches in Santa Barbara, listening to music, dancing, and shopping. Her faith was also an important part of her life. While raising her family, she devoted countless hours to her church, serving as Sunday School Director and volunteering in numerous church activities.

Although Elaine took great pride in her many years of hard work and service to others, her greatest accomplishment and proudest joy was always her family. Nothing meant more to her than the people she loved.

Elaine had a beautiful spirit and a heart full of generosity, compassion, and love. She touched countless lives throughout her 83 years, leaving behind memories that will forever be treasured.

While words cannot express how deeply she will be missed, we find comfort in knowing that her love lives on in each of us and that she is now resting peacefully in the arms of the Lord.

Forever loved, forever cherished, and never forgotten.

In accordance with Elaine’s wishes, services will be held privately for immediate family only.
