Doris Ann (Rosner) D’Amico

October 28, 1930 – January 30, 2026

Doris Ann D’Amico, a beloved mother, grandmother, and longtime resident of the Los Angeles area, passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 30, 2026, in Whittier, California, at the age of 95.

Born on October 28, 1930, in Los Angeles, Doris was a lifelong Californian whose warm spirit and positive outlook touched everyone she met. She graduated from Dorsey High School in Los Angeles and went on to build a meaningful 30-year career at the University of Southern California (USC) in the Physical Education department. In her various roles, including executive assistant and student counselor, she supported countless students and colleagues with her dedication, kindness, and encouragement.

Doris was predeceased by her loving husband, Ted D’Amico, her sons Kevin and Brian, and her grandson Dylan Schloerb. She is survived by her three daughters: Robin Curtis (and son-in-law Larry Curtis), Karen Pierson (and son-in-law Mitch Pierson), and Diane D’Amico; her cherished grandchildren Malia Collins, Jeni Tuffly, and Lisa Creamer; and her great-grandchildren Kayla Schloerb, Dylan Schloerb, Makayla Huls, Collin Huls, Ella Tuffly, Carson Tuffly, Phoebe Creamer, and Violet Creamer.

Known for always greeting everyone with a bright smile, Doris was upbeat, friendly, and approachable. She found joy in simple pleasures, including playing Bridge with friends, attending local theater productions, and exploring interesting yard sales—often coming home with unique treasures and stories to share.

Doris lived a full life marked by love for her family, commitment to her work, and a genuine appreciation for the people and moments around her. Her gentle passing reflects the peaceful way she approached each day.

The family invites friends and loved ones to remember Doris with fond memories and gratitude for the light she brought into their lives. Arrangements are under the care of White Emerson Mortuary in Whittier.

May her memory be a blessing to all who knew her.
