Donald Alan Redd

It is with both heavy hearts and deep gratitude that we announce the passing of Donald Alan Redd, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and an esteemed attorney, who departed from this world peacefully on September 18, 2026, at the age of 76. Born on September 9, 1950, in Pasadena, California, Donald lived a life filled with love, laughter, and kindness. A proud graduate of Wilson High School in 1968, Donald served his country honorably in the Navy from 1968 to 1972. He went on to pursue a distinguished career as an accomplished attorney with Southern California Edison, where he dedicated countless hours to managing litigation and mentoring fellow professionals. After 30 years of dedicated service, he retired for the last 20 years but continued to inspire those around him with his integrity and wisdom. Donald was not only a warrior in his profession but also the heart and soul of his family. He shared 42 wonderful years with his wife, Jo Ann Redd, with whom he built a beautiful family that includes 4 children and 12 cherished grandchildren. His love for family was evident in every aspect of his life. He took his loved ones on countless adventures, creating memories that will last a lifetime as they traveled near and far. Donald had a heart of gold, always ready to lend an ear and offer sage advice, earning him the well-deserved title of "Godfather" of the family. His kind spirit and generosity left an indelible mark on all who knew him. Just the night before his passing, he was surrounded by family, sharing laughter and joy while watching football with his grandsons, a testament to the cherished moments that defined his life. We celebrate Donald’s life with love and gratitude for the rich legacy he leaves behind. He loved God deeply and shared that love through his actions every day. Though he has left this earthly realm, we take comfort in the memories we have of him and look forward to reuniting in paradise. In this time of reflection and remembrance, Jo Ann and the entire family will hold him close in their hearts. As his beloved wife, she expresses, “I will miss you forever, my beloved.
