Dolores Morales

In loving memory of Dolores Morales, known affectionately as "Grandma Dee," who passed away on June 14, 2024 in her hometown of Whittier, California. She was a cherished soul who touched the lives of many with her kindness unwavering dedication to her family and grandchildren.

Dolores led a life filled with love, warmth, and selflessness. Born on September 22, 1930, in Los Angeles, California, she grew up in Boyle Heights and later graduated from Roosevelt High School. In 1948, she married the love of her life, Victor Morales. Dolores and Victor built a beautiful life together, raising their family with unwavering support and affection. Their marriage was a cornerstone of strength and stability, inspiring all who knew them. Together, they shared countless memories, from joyous celebrations to quiet moments of togetherness, always facing life's challenges hand in hand. After working as a cashier at Thrifty's, Dolores embraced her role as a homemaker in 1964 and made Whittier her home for the next six decades.

A woman of many passions, Dolores found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She enjoyed playing card games, board games, and gambling. Her love for reading and watching classic movies was only surpassed by her adoration for dogs and cats. However, it was her time spent with her grandchildren that truly brought out the brightest smile on her face.

Dolores will be deeply missed by her surviving family members: her sister Bobbie Salas; her two children; along with eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion that will continue to live on in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered for the love she shared and the example she set.

A Memorial Service to honor and celebrate Dolores Morales's life will be held on June 28, 2024, at White Emerson Mortuary located at 13304 Philadelphia St, Whittier, CA 90601. The service will begin at 10:00 AM and conclude at 11:00 AM.

As we bid farewell to Dolores Morales, let us remember the love she shared unconditionally with those around her and find solace in the beautiful memories she created during her time with us. May she rest in peace knowing she was truly loved and appreciated by all whose lives she touched.
