Dolores Gallegos

Dear friends and family,

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dolores "Lola" Gallegos, who departed from us on July 28, 2024, in Whittier, California. She was a loving mother, devoted wife, and cherished by so many.

Lola was born on September 15, 1929, in Ontario, California. Despite facing early hardships, losing her Father and Grandfather during her childhood and living through the depression era, Lola's resilience and perseverance were the catalysts in overcoming life's challenges. She attended Whittier High School and embraced a life dedicated to hard work and making the most of every opportunity.

Throughout her life, Lola cultivated a variety of interests that brought her immense joy. From tending to her garden to creating beautiful crochet pieces, passionately singing mariachi music, sewing intricate creations, cooking delicious meals for her loved ones, attending school activities, tirelessly supporting her children and being an exceptional mother and wife. Lola's greatest joy came from ensuring that the hearts around her were always full of love and happiness.

A memorial of Lola's life will take place on August 12th, 2024. The services will be held at St Mariana De Paredes Catholic Church in Pico Rivera at 9:30 AM followed by a Mass at 10:30 AM. The final farewell will be at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery in Rosemead with a Graveside Service at 12:00 PM.

Lola leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will forever be remembered by her surviving family members: her four Children - Kathy, George, Raul, Christine; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and her loving sister, Carrie. Her presence touched the lives of many who had the privilege of knowing her.

In honoring Lola's memory, let us cherish the moments shared with her and carry forward the values of hard work, resilience, and love that she so beautifully exemplified throughout her life.
