Danny Garcia

Listen to Obituary

Danny Garcia was born on October 10, 1963, to Henry A. Garcia and Mary Garcia. He was the fifth of six children. He lived a quiet and modest life in East Los Angeles and eventually in El Monte where he resided at the time of his passing on September 1, 2026.

He enjoyed rock and roll music, sports, camping, fishing, indulging in good food and hanging out with friends and family. He was affectionately known as “Flaco” but was quite the opposite. He stood almost six feet tall with a husky build. He was strong and could fix anything. He spent many years caring for his mother Mary Garcia and they were two peas in a pod while butting heads from time to time. His mother Mary passed before him just a little less than a year ago.

During his life he welcomed three children, Brittany, Alexandra, and Daniel as well as five grandchildren, Jacquet, Saigedra, Dani-Rose, Jaxson and Rosalie. His love for his children and grandchildren was beyond measure. He longed to be able to travel to Oregon to visit them. As his health worsened, he could not do so. Although he leaves them behind here on earth, he will always be by their side in spirit.

He also leaves behind his sisters, Irene, Lorraine, Tina, Doris, Lollie and his brothers Henry and Robert as well as many nieces and nephews that loved him with all their hearts. We will forever miss his grunts and grumbles, humming, laughter, sensitive spirit, helpfulness, and good heart. Danny’s life was short but the impact he had on those that knew him will leave memories that will never be forgotten.

Thank you Flaco for reminding us to keep life simple, appreciate what you have and lend a hand even if that is all you have to give. Enjoy the feast in heaven with Grandma Mary and Grandpa Henry and all of those that left this earth before you such as your other siblings Sonny, Johnny, Sally and your best friend, David. Save us a spot at the table where there is no more pain, no more sadness and no more goodbyes.

We love you, Flaco. Rest in paradise.
