Bonnie Joanne Saucy was born September 24, 1958 in Lodi, California. She went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on October 5, 2016 at her home in Whittier, California with her loving family by her side.



Bonnie was born to David Takeo and Kay Kimie Shiroma in Lodi, however the family home was just north in the neighboring community of Acampo, California. This is where Bonnie would grow up, attending Lodi High School and Delta Community College. She felt the Lord leading her however to further her education, so she moved from her hometown area south to La Mirada, California to attend Biola College where she graduated in 1981. Following college graduation, Bonnies passion for ministry led her to becoming an Elementary school teacher at Don Julian Elementary School in La Puente, CA. for 10 years.



On April 11, 1992, in La Mirada, California Bonnie became Mrs. Mark Robert Saucy. Following their marriage, Bonnie and Mark both having a passion for ministry and education, found themselves being led by God to Kyiv, Ukraine. This is where their family began a 13 year ministry of developing Theological Education in Eurasia. Bonnie and Mark were blessed with two sons: Benjamin Mark and Joshua Daniel.



In addition to being a missionary theological educator with husband Mark, Bonnie was known for her hospitality. She especially loved to mentor younger women in their Christian faith and supporting students and their wives. She also had a passion for other ministries, especially those involving orphans and disabled children and Cancer Support groups. Bonnie loved Interior Design, but she especially loved to support her sons in all of their school activities.



In 2007 the Saucy family returned to the Whittier area and to their home congregation at Granada Heights Friends Church.



Bonnie is survived by her husband Mark, Sons Benjamin Mark and Joshua Daniel, Father; David Shiroma and Siblings; Genevieve Shiroma-Abbott and Matthew Shiroma.



A memorial Service will be held on Saturday October 15, 2016 at 3:00 PM at Granada Heights Friends Church, La Mirada, CA
