Arakel Sakadjian

Arakel (Ara) Sakadjian was born July 5, 1931 in Ethiopia, to Khatchit Sakadjian and Mary Eskidjian. He passed away on August 27, 2011 in San Gabriel, California.Ara grew up in Ethiopia and went to school in Italy. Following his schooling, he returned to Ethiopia and went to work with his father. He then opened his own auto body shop in Ethiopia.After moving to California, Ara opened two auto repair body shops.Ara married Eva and to them was born four children: Paul, Rita, Joey and Anne.His hobbies included working on cars, fishing, camping and barbecuing for the family.Ara attended Holy Cross Armenian Church in Montebello, California.He is survived by his children and 20 grandchildren, along with extended family members and many friends.
