Anthony "Tony" Nevares

On May 12, 2026—his 75th birthday—Anthony “Tony” Nevares completed his journey through a life filled with love, laughter, and adventure, and was greeted by his parents as he entered eternal rest. He traveled to many places with his wife, found peace on the golf course, and filled his days with the joy of his children and grandchildren.

Tony lived with a spirit of curiosity and joy. He loved any chance to travel with his wife, exploring new places, revisiting favorites like Palm Springs, and collecting memories that turned into the stories he loved to tell. Whether they were discovering somewhere new or returning to a familiar spot, traveling together was one of his greatest pleasures.

As a passionate golfer, Tony found peace and happiness on the course. He played countless rounds over the years, sometimes chasing the perfect shot, and sometimes just simply enjoying the sunshine with good company. Golf was more than a pastime for him; it was something that grounded him and brought him joy.

More than anything, Tony was a family man. His heart belonged to his children and grandchildren, and he treasured every moment with them. From big celebrations to simple afternoons together, he made every gathering feel special. His grandkids adored him, and he poured his whole heart into being the kind of grandfather they’ll remember with warmth and pride for the rest of their lives.

He is survived by his wife Peggy, his son Daniel, and his daughters Erin, Tracy, and Lori along with his 10 grandchildren who will carry forward his stories, his laughter, and the love he shared so freely with all of them.

A service honoring Tony’s life will be held at Saint Dominic Savio Church in Bellflower, CA.

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to The Hospice House Presbyterian Intercommunity (Dove & Rose House), a reflection of Tony’s generous spirit.
