Angel Ruiz

Angel Ruiz, beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend, passed away on November 22, 2023, in Whittier, California. Born on March 23, 1972, in El Paso, Texas, Angel was a beacon of light in the lives of those who had the privilege of knowing him.

From the early years of his life, it was evident that Angel possessed a special gift for connecting with people. He embraced various roles throughout his career, working at UPS, City Team, The Foothills Church, and most recently with, Young Life. However, it was his passion for mentoring and developing young leaders that truly defined him. Angel dedicated himself to guiding others towards their aspirations in life and providing them with the network and tools to move forward.

An extraordinarily bright individual, Angel pursued higher education at Vanguard University. It was during his time there that he not only attained a Master of Arts in Leadership Studies but also met the love of his life, Andrea. 

Angel's magnetic personality filled any room with joy upon his arrival. His infectious energy could instantly change the atmosphere and bring smiles to the faces around him. Known for his engaging nature and genuine interest in others' lives, he forged deep connections through love and a commitment to furthering the Kingdom of the Lord.

Beyond his professional accomplishments and radiant charisma, Angel found solace and enjoyment in two passions: golfing and cheering for his beloved Dallas Cowboys. These activities brought him moments of pure joy amidst life's busyness.

Though Angel's time with us felt far too short-lived compared to the vast impact he made during his 51 years on this earth, we find solace in knowing that he leaves behind a legacy rooted in inspiration and the Lord's unwavering love. 

Angel is survived by his devoted wife, Andrea; their children, Josh, and Alia; his mother, Rosario; and siblings Ricardo, Alicia, and Javier and many nieces and nephews.

In reflecting on the remarkable life of Angel Ruiz, we are reminded of the immeasurable impact one individual can have on countless lives. His strong held faith and service to the Lord, genuine care for others, unwavering dedication to mentoring young leaders, and infectious personality will continue to inspire all those fortunate enough to have crossed paths with him.

May his legacy continue to spread love, compassion, and a deep devotion to uplifting others. Though he may no longer be with us physically, the lasting imprint of his kindness will forever reside in our hearts. A memorial was held for Angel in the company of friends, family and colleages at his church. Thank you to all in attendance and for your continued prayers and support.
