Whittier, CA Harold Waldron Templin, age 94, died on Tuesday, December 12 of natural causes.

Mr. Templin is survived by his wife of 31 years, stepchildren and their families. He is also survived by children David, Donnie, Cheryl Ann and Sue and their families.

Harold was a veteran of World War II, where he served with distinction in the U.S. Navy on the USS Idaho and was present at the signing of the Japanese surrender on the USS Missouri. During his service, he received six Bronze Stars, the Asiatic-Pacific and Philippine Liberation medals. He was honorably discharged from the Navy in 1945 and settled in Southern California.

Harold retired from the Ford Motor Company in 1978 in Long Beach, CA.

Services will be held later this week at Riverside Memorial Cemetery in Riverside CA.
